And you thought you were facing a big job getting your web site up and running. Try being the Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University, who were faced with the overwhelming task of transcribing 60,000 pages of 17th century manuscript written by celebrated Puritan preacher Jonathan Edwards and making them available online.

Scholars at the university devoted 15 years to transcribing the documents into word documents, carefully maintaining all of the original line breaks, crossed out passages and inserts, so that readers could understand the process by which Edwards composed his sermons and essays. But that was just the first step.

Next, they had to come up with an intuitive, easy-to-use means of displaying the documents online. OHO to the rescue. We drew on our expertise building robust content management systems and designing award winning web sites to create a site that was tailored to their needs. Using emerging internet technology, including XML and Web 2.0, we built a powerful database with a stylish and intuitive user interface. Unlike other scanned paper projects, it is completely full text searchable. Users can search for any topic or title, and when the document is displayed, they are able to toggle back and forth between the edited view and the manuscript view. And just think, this project originated in the days when information was carried by boat.

See, your web design project isn't so daunting after all, is it?
